Lilush's friends - the Hamal (War room)

Lilush's friends hamal started out small. A single request from a 20 soldiers military unit to receive a warm meal at the very early days of the ongoing war. Lilush, who has been managing large digital communities for over a decade, immediately turned to her community "The Women of Ramat Gan - Givataim" and asked the women of the community for help cooking for the soldiers.

The response was immediate and week by week we grew, from feeding just a small military unit to the command center `Lilush's friends` is today, distributing around 3,000 hot meals a day to our soldiers on the front lines.

How can we help? Great question.
So far we’ve reached over 150,000 soldiers and we are still needed.

With our sandwiches reaching soldiers even within Gaza we take great care to make sure our food arrives fresh, holding a high standard from the cook’s home to the means of transportations.

Our hotline operates early morning till late nights where we receive non-stop requests from military commanders and communicate with our various volunteers (cooks, transporters and operational volunteers).

We even had amazing volunteers knitting wool hats and yamakas :)
So really we have just about everything.

Working efficiently, we manage to provide meals to every battalion that comes our way and we continue to grow and grow every day. We’ve expanded our reach from soldiers to the families of the reservists, the families of the wounded, the mentally injured and even for funerals.

The operation is based on love.
Everything else does not come free :)

רוצה להצטרף לחמ״ל?
להזמין אוכל לבית או לגדוד?
אולי לתרום ציוד או סל קניות?

*Our food is kosher without a certification*

Due to the nature of the command center activity, we work out of different kitchens, in the personal homes of our volunteers and therefore have kitchens with different kashrut levels.

Although we make sure to label the food by kashrut level we cannot guarantee a certain leve of kosher

The permit was given by Rabbi Meir Panahsi.
